A highlight activity in 2009 was a project initiated by Abbeyfield residents to help less fortunate Burnaby residents. In less than a month three Abbeyfielders knitted over one hundred toques for donation to the Burnaby Warmer Wednesday project!
Group activities include: scrabble, bridge, puzzles, singing, special occasions, and community teas.
Private time activities include: reading, memoir writing, scrapbooking and off-site adventures to: Confederation Park Seniors Centre, Brentwood Town Centre Mall, Kensington Square Shopping Centre, and Eileen Dailly Pool.
Walking: Abbeyfield Burnaby is situated in a flat, safe, very walkable, residential area close to North Burnaby's urban trail
